Find support ↗CONNECT-2 HELP CENTRE
Learn to use the site, share memories and find support for yourself or a loved one.
Share content you own or have permission to share. Also respect the privacy and wishes of anyone photographed, filmed or recorded. If in doubt, ask their permission before posting. You retain your rights in your own content; adding it makes it viewable by authorised members of the Space. A private family Space does not replace permission to share someone else’s content.
To report content or request its removal, use My account → Contact the administrator, or email chris@connect-2.me if you do not have an account. Identify the memory and explain your request without sending a password.
Choose a collection when adding or editing a memory. The owner can open Collections and cover photo under More options to create collections, organise existing memories and choose cover photos. Pictures remain private.
In Add a memory, choose Personal video. Upload an MP4 or MOV up to 25 MB and three minutes. Where conversion is available, it runs on this server. Otherwise use an H.264 MP4; MOV needs conversion first. The space retains its 100 MB limit. Open the memory to play the video or replace its file.
Use a memory’s star to add it to your personal favourites. Under More options, open Pairs with our photos to choose two to six photos. Printable cards lets you select up to twelve memories and hide the answers before printing or saving as PDF.
Under More options, choose Add a voice message. Allow microphone access, record up to three minutes, finish and listen back. The file is uploaded only after Share voice message. If recording is unavailable, choose an audio file recorded on your phone.
Use Open on YouTube to watch in a new tab or the YouTube app, then sign in if asked. Connect-2 cannot remove this check. A personal video uploaded to your space uses the site’s own player.
Open your invitation. For a new account, choose your first name and a password: you enter the space directly, without a second email. If you already have an account, enter your usual password. Your email address is prefilled. The link is personal and lasts seven days.
After signing in, open “My spaces”, name your album and choose “Create my space”. Your space is private: only invited loved ones can view its memories. Each family account can create up to three spaces.
The primary owner opens Invite / manage family. Under Current access, choose Co-owner — manage the space for an existing member, then Apply. They can invite people and manage memories and collections. The primary owner keeps access and alone can appoint or remove co-owners and delete the space.
Use My spaces to return to the list, or Sign out to end your session. Sign in with the same email address to return to your space. Remove my access ends your membership of that space: you will then need a new invitation from the owner.
Le propriétaire ouvre son espace et clique sur « Invite / manage relatives », visible en haut de la page. The primary owner and co-owners can send invitations. Saisissez leur email address et choisissez « View, play and add memories ». Pour une consultation seulement, choisissez « View and play ». Chaque espace accueille jusqu’à vingt personnes. Le propriétaire peut modifier un accès, le retirer ou annuler une invitation à tout moment. Les contributeurs modifient leurs propres souvenirs ; le propriétaire peut gérer tous les souvenirs.
In your space, choose “Add a memory”, then Photo or Music or recorded voice. Choose a file and add a title, question and answer. You can add a hint and a short story. Confirm that you have permission to share it, then save. Limits: 10 MB per file and 100 MB / 100 memories per space. Convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG. For a voice, record it on your phone and import the audio file.
Open the memory, then “Edit this memory” and “Edit the memory”. Choose a new file under “Replace audio” or “Replace photo”, confirm permission to share and save. Leave the field empty to keep the existing file. The question, answer and link are preserved.
Copy the link for an individual video or track, then choose “YouTube / YouTube Music” in Add a memory. Paste the HTTPS link. Playlists and album links are not supported. Videos load only when clicked. Some videos cannot play here: use “Open on YouTube” instead.
The official YouTube player can show adverts, including in privacy-enhanced mode. Connect-2 cannot remove them. Audio files you upload with permission play without adverts. Video titles and thumbnails may reveal the artist: for a “Who's singing?” game, consider an authorised audio file.
Listen to the word uses the family recording attached to the card. Without one, a local Arabic voice may be offered if your device has it. This automatic voice does not guarantee Algerian or Moroccan pronunciation. If no suitable voice is available, add a family recording through Edit the memory. Playback starts only when you request it.
In Add a memory, choose “Words and memories — Algeria / Morocco”, then the family's variety. Enter the Arabic word and its meaning in French or English. You can attach a loved one's recording or leave the card without audio. Arabic displays right to left. Enable an Arabic keyboard or paste the word. The Google Translate link opens another tab for suggestions you can copy back here. It has no dedicated darja or darija option: ask a loved one to adapt the expression. Existing text stays editable and is never replaced automatically. Words can also be copied onto paper.
Open a memory. Answer aloud, ask for a hint, show choices or reveal the answer directly. “Play together” also has matching pairs, noughts and crosses on one screen, and picture-word associations. Pairs start with two pairs. No personal results are recorded.
In your space, choose “Just share a moment”. Browse photos, words and music without questions. There is no automatic scrolling or playback. Previous and Next let you choose your pace.
Press play and check the volume and device sound settings. Format support varies by browser; MP3 is worth trying. Hiding the tab or changing memories stops playback. If the problem continues, contact the administrator through My account.
Authorised members of your space. YouTube videos keep their own visibility settings. Anyone with access could take a screenshot or keep a copy: invite trusted people only. Technical administrators retain access to the server and backups. Files in the old WordPress media library are not protected by this plugin.
For a memory you can edit, open “Edit this memory” and confirm deletion. The owner can export text and a list of memories through Manage loved ones. This JSON export does not include audio or photo files; request those from the administrator through My account. Before leaving a space, remove contributions you do not want to leave there.
Check your spam folder and the address used for the invitation. At sign-in, use resend confirmation or Forgot password as appropriate. If nothing arrives, ask the person who invited you to contact the administrator. Never share your password.
View and play access allows browsing, but not contributions. Ask the owner to change your access through Manage loved ones. Contributors can edit their own memories.
An internet connection is required. On a shared device, sign out when finished.
Open the installation guide →This guidance concerns using the site. It does not replace medical advice. Connect-2 does not diagnose the condition, measure its progression or promise to slow it.
Spending time together, listening, looking and letting conversation happen. Games can support interaction; they are not memory tests or treatment. Choose according to your loved one's interests and abilities, which can vary.
Avoid insisting or turning the moment into a test. Gently name the person, tell a story or simply look at the photo together. “Show the answer” and “Just share a moment” let you continue without needing a correct answer.
Offer a break or another activity without insisting. Photos or songs can bring unexpected emotions. You can close a memory or stop the sound immediately. If a reaction concerns you or keeps happening, discuss it with the professional supporting your loved one.
Start with familiar interests, a clear image or a song chosen together. Two pairs are enough to start matching. Noughts and crosses is suitable only if its rules remain enjoyable and understandable. Look at all the cards, play together or stop without finishing.
There is no need for an exact answer. Leave room for ideas and conversation. If a question becomes difficult, give a hint, show the answer or change the subject. Connect-2 keeps no scores or performance history.
There is no target duration. A short moment can be enough. Follow the person's interest and comfort, let them guide the pace and stop whenever they wish.
